Lorcan Burke, CEO
Lorcan Burke is a 20 year veteran of telecoms. He started his career with Nortel, where he fulfilled roles in Support, Development and General Management in Europe and Asia. He then served as CTO of FirstMark Communications, a pioneer in the delivery of Broadband Internet services in Europe. Prior to founding AdaptiveMobile Lorcan was an investor with ETF Group specialising in the Wireless and Security markets.
Gareth Maclachlan, Chief Operating Officer
Prior to founding AdaptiveMobile in 2003, Gareth was Wireless Investment Director at global VC firm ETF Group, and Principal Consultant at PWC, responsible for the UK e-business practice.
Gareth led projects with the UK Home Office, National Criminal Intelligence Service, Interpol and other UK and European security bodies to assess and respond to the emerging national threats from the Internet. Gareth has also been a board member for mobile marketing companies, and was involved in a joint venture with Kirch Gruppe on mobile entertainment.
John Kennedy, General Manager
John Kennedy has over 20 years product management and operational management experience at leading technology companies including Symantec.
Prior to co-founding AdaptiveMobile John worked at Symantec for eight years where he was responsible for driving international product launches of Norton Antivirus and other Symantec consumer products. John co-founded AdaptiveMobile in 2003 and is now General Manager based in Dublin HQ.
John holds a B.Sc from the University of Strathclyde, a M.Sc. in Information Systems from University of Huddersfield and an MBA from the Open University.
Brendan Dillon, Chief Technology Officer
Brendan has thirteen years experience in telecoms and IT. He previously worked in a number of senior development and software architect roles for multinational across Europe and Asia. Brendan started off his career with Lotus/IBM on software product releases for the European market then worked with EDS on pan-European ERP systems for General Motors.
He then went on to work in Japan with Digital Equipment Corporation as part of a global development team across Asia, North America and Europe. Moving back to Europe to work with Sony Music/AdTools on internet marketing and content distribution systems, working on DRM-enabled distribution of multimedia content for Sony Music artists. Moving into the telecoms arena as Lead Architect on a content distribution platform for mobile devices for a Dublin-based startup, before going on to co-found AdaptiveMobile. Holds a B.Eng from Dublin City University.
Colin Brown, SVP Sales
Colin has distinguished himself as a knowledgeable and respected executive in the international mobile telecommunications industry. As Senior Vice President of Global Sales, Colin and his team are directly responsible for bringing new revenue streams in to the company whilst reinforcing AdaptiveMobile’s position as the leader in wireless content filtering solutions.
Colin has worked with some of the most dynamic organizations in the telecoms arena; most notably he was the Vice President of Sales for Arantech and Vice President of Sales EMEA and APAC for Orchestream. Colin has over 12 years experience in the telecommunications industry, he has successfully brought new technology to start up businesses and enabled them provide their solutions to Global customers such as Vodafone KK, Vodafone Spain, Vodafone Global, Orange, T- Mobile AT&T, NTT, Telstra, SingTel, Cingular, and Verizon. Prior to his career in technology, Colin held executive positions with Xerox and Canon.

Simeon Coney, VP Business Development and Strategy
As VP of Business Development, Simeon's responsibility is for the development and execution of AdaptiveMobile partnerships globally. Simeon has 18 years experience within the mobile, fixed line and IT infrastructure markets. Prior to joining AdaptiveMobile, Simeon provided strategic guidance and portfolio management to a range of FTSE 100 and US companies. Simeon's career started in product and service planning & launch at Nortel for fixed and mobile operators, moving to head up marketing and business development for Ceon - a provider of OSS/BSS for operators and Head of OSS for First Mark - a pan European service provider.
Kathryn Smith, VP Engineering.
Kathryn has 13 years experience working for global corporations in the USA designing, developing and implementing global complex technology solutions. Prior to joining AdaptiveMobile, Kathryn spent 5 years with UBS as Director of Product Development where she managed the development team responsible for quality assurance, operations and implementation of reporting products and data warehousing. She has also held management roles in product development and consulting services for various corporations including Hyperion Solutions Inc.
Kathryn is responsible for the engineering function at AdaptiveMobile where innovation and efficiency are critical and holds a Honours Batchelor of Commerce from UCD
Simon Boyd, VP Operations.
Simon has over 25 years experience in the Telecommunications and IT industries. As VP Operations, Simon is responsible for all project delivery and support within AdaptiveMobile. He has set up and developed the Operations team over the last two years to provide efficient and effective Project Delivery and Support services.

He has set up and developed the Operations team over the last two years to provide efficient and effective Project Delivery and Support services.Simon joined AdaptiveMobile from 3UK where he was the Programme Manager for the Radio and Terminals Group. This Group was instrumental in the rollout and switch-on of the UK's first 3G mobile network.
Simon has extensive experience in technical project management in challenging environments and has a proven track record of successful project delivery and support.
Laura Harwood, Marketing Director
Laura has over 20 years experience working in the ICT arena with the last 10 having been spent in Telecoms. She has an extensive knowledge of all aspects of marketing management and has worked on major campaigns, events and programmes covering the full marketing mix.
Prior to joining AdaptiveMobile, Laura worked at Motorola for 5 years and most recently spent 3 years at Cisco where she was responsible for field marketing within their Global Mobile Vertical.
