The GSM Association (GSMA)
The GSM Association (GSMA) is a global trade association that represents the interest of more than 550 GSM mobile operators. Founded in 1987, the association role is to promote, protect and enhance the interests of the global GSM mobile operator community. Some 138 key manufacturers and suppliers to the GSM industry are associate members of the GSM association.
The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA)
The Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) delivers open standards for the mobile industry, helping to create interoperable services which work across countries, operators and mobile terminals and are driven by users' needs. The Open Mobile Alliance includes all key elements of the wireless value chain, and contributes to the timely and efficient introduction of services and applications.
The Internet Watch Foundation
The Internet Watch Foundation’s mission is to work in partnership with internet service providers, telecommunication companies, mobile operators, software providers, the police, Government and the public to minimise the availability of online criminal content, particularly child sexual abuse images.
The Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG)
The Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) is where the messaging industry comes together to work against spam, viruses, denial-of-service attacks and other online exploitation.
